| Old film and slides are often covered with dust and scratches. After we remove any loose dust and debris, our scanners are able to remove most of these defects during the scanning process with Digital ICE technology. Finally we try our best to remove any issues manually. And YES this is standard. |
| Digital ICE technology uses infrared light, which is able to detect dust, hairs, fingerprints or scratches. As infrared light is invisible it cannot reproduce the colour information of the photo and therefore only delivers the defect information to the scanner software. |

| SO HOW DOES THE TECH WORK? |
| The slide, slide film or negative is illuminated by the LED standard light lamp and the colour information of the image is captured and delivered to the scanner software. It is then illuminated by the LED infrared lamp and only the defect information is captured and delivered to the scanner software. The two images (colour information and defects) are compared and the defects are removed by means of algorithms. The result is an image without most defects and we try our best to remove the remaining defects manually. |

| We apply it to all colour slides, slide film & negatives. Unfortunately the tech doesnt work effectively with black and white media but a good amount of retouching is still included. |
